At AOC, owners Christian Aarø and Søren Selin seek to emphasise what is wonderful in the local nature, as well as stimulating as many of our senses as possible: Taste, vision, color and smell are at the centre of the dining experience. Our culinary philosophy is positioned from a modern style, using fresh Nordic produce sourced from both Earth and Sea – a concept of pure savour.
Executive Chef Søren Selin and his team of dedicated chefs work closely together, striving to achieve perfection within the always playful Nordic Cuisine to which Sommelier Christian Aarø taste and select wines from both the old and new world regions, in a way that food and wine accompanies each other in perfect balance and harmony.
This interaction between food and wine can be experienced through either our multi-course tasting menu, or the little less suggestion.
AOC, Aarø & co. - The restaurant.
AOC is situated in the vaulted cellars of the historic mansion, Moltkes Palæ, dating back to the 17th century, just a javelin throw from Kongens Nytorv in the very centre of Copenhagen. The main dining room seats about 50 guests at round tables and additionally we offer a private dining room that are ideal for smaller parties between 10-18 people, seeking an evening of refined dining in privacy.
As we wish to greet all size, shape, culture and religion into our dining room, we do our outmost to meet allergies and restrictions - pescatarians, vegetarians and often the most detailed allergies. But by experience we do not believe that you get the full expirience in a pure vegan tasting menu.
